    Kiwi Family Browser License Issue

Our Kiwi Browser is reporting we are in violation of the license agreement, because it thinks we have 505 copies installed. does anyone know how to reset it so it looks only at current machines using it? we have over 500 computers but not all are using it, no where near. There is a QLM License Portal that will show you all the machines, and allow you to remove some of them. My guess is you have about 250, and you have them all registered from before they were all reimaged, and after.

I usually just messaged Philip on Facebook when I had issues...but it's an installation license, not an "in-use" license. Probably have to uninstall it on some folks machines...or just get some more licenses.

    Or there is that...

You cant uninstall it from a machine thats been reimaged. Hence going in the QLM console and just removing those machines. Works fine. Ive had to do it for other clients.

Something similar used to happen to us.
I finally tracked it down to the fact that we had our Revit licenses time out (automatically return their license) after 30 minutes.
But KCFB never timed out, so they never got released.

Go into your License server and just delete the QLMLicense.xml file. ( I think that's the name, but I'm not at work right now)
It's safe to just delete it. Anyone who is currently using a license will just pick it up again.

I used to have a server function that nuke out license file every night at 2 AM.

    Hi Guys.

I got an email from Philip in the weekend and I have bumped up your numbers so on Monday you will not have this issue . I'm in discussions with Philip re moving you guys over to Floating network where you can manage your licenses so much easier . The license system you are on currently is a hangover from the good old days with Aaron

They are still on that exact same system. Nothing to do with R1 or FB R2

Oh i know. Just saying, the system itself works fine. Was fine back then, too. Just has to be managed.
