Cool Have you heard of Twinmotion??

    Hello guys,

Have you ever heard of Twinmotion? Perhaps some of you use it already. For those who don't know what it is: Twinmotion is a visualization and 3D immersion software dedicated to architecture, urban planning and landscaping? It has Revit plugin which allows you to quickly generate renderings of your project: images, videos, 360 panoramas and a StandAlone version of your project.

I'm Tianxiao from Twinmotion company. I'm here to help you!
    All questions are welcomed!

Here attached some images rendered by Twinmotion. A new version Twinmotion2016 will be released soon! A preview video will be online next Thursday, October the 15th. Don't miss it if interested

And by the way, what rendering softwares do you guys use usually?

    Cheers

    Hi tianxiao,

I'm happy i found finally someone from twinmotion, i saw the program on the sketch up basecamp in londen and i was amazed.
So i started searching but it was disappointing, the site is nice but not a really good forum about twinmotion where you can ask questions and so on.
I saw the the movie of twinmotion 2016 it looks again very promising. But still i'm not sure why i should make the decision to choose twinmotion because there is also lumion who come's also whit a new version and they have a wonderful forum where you can post everything.
K, the price from lumion is double but still i don't know what to choose, maybe some tips ore something from you?
What is the release date of twinmotion2016 and can you get a trail version of that version if yes for how long?
I'm now making already render image's whit su podium these are 360° and stills but no animations and i also want to start whit animations.
Here is my site:Safirr - Home go to realisaties 3D ore 360° to see some of my work. (its tottaly in dutch )

So please so comments/tips about the lumion vs twinmotion.

    Thanks in advance,

    Sam

    Hi Sam,

Thanks for your message and your interest in Twinmotion!

Indeed, our forum on website is not very well developed, you are right about that. But let me explain why. The philosophy of our team is to come close to our users and to listen to their voices. We didn’t spend much time in our own forum, but instead we are present in many other forums where users frequently access to, in order to facilitate the communication. Users are familiar to the forum they used to go, so it’s our job to come to them. But you are also right about the important of having its own forum, as many of other users demanded before, so we are working on it now

Concerning your question about Lumion vs Twinmotion. They look similar if only look at rendering results. But they are actually two software with a philosophy completely different.

Lumion, we can say, it’s a software which works in an old school way. If your work concerns only about images and animation videos, that’s what Lumion works for. Their rendering results are good, but you can only have this quality in the final rendering project, not during the production period. Maybe you have already 3DS Max which does the same thing.

The philosophy of Twinmotion is to have real time in every phase of your project. If besides good quality images and videos, you also want to see and walk in your project in real time and with the same good quality as in your final renderings, and present to your client by using a joystick or in the future with an oculus mask. That is Twinmotion that you are looking for I hope that you have a clear understanding of these two software now.

Concerning your questions about the release time. Twinmotion 2016 will be release officially on November 2nd. Trail version will be available online the same day, and it will be available for 30 days

And for information, we will participate the international Building/Architectural Salon BATIMAT in Paris on November 2nd-6th, as well as the AU in Las Vegas early December. At BATIMAT, Twinmotion 2016 will be presented at 3 stands: one stand for Oculus & Twinmotion 2016, one Innovation Tunnel of 11m to present the advantages of Real time and BIM, the third one will be a live demonstration of Twinmotion2016. So if you are there, you can have a look of the software on live!

Please do not hesitated to come to me for any questions

    Cheers,
    Tianxiao

Yes, there will be an educational version which is the same as TEAM version, and a student version same as PRO. Both of these two are free and will be available online on November 2nd.

    Don't hesitate to test it
