Problem with Copy - Paste Aligned to selected Level

Helo Everyone,Im a student and Im new in Revit, and actually i dont know where to post this so im sorry if post this thread in wrong place.

I have a problem with copy - paste aligned to selected level

i make a group of coloum in Level 2, and i try to Copy copy - paste aligned to selected level 3
but the group of coloum just copied to level 2 so i got the error massage
" There are identical instances in the same place. This will result in double counting in schedules. "
so i figure it out that if i want to copy the coloum to level 3 i need to copy it to level 4
so i can say the aligned level is for the top level, if i want to copy to level 4, i need to select level 5
    please help.

Paste Aligned and columns are a special case > they paste "down" to the lower level, the one below the one you select. It's an old quirk they've never changed. When you choose the level, choose the level above the one you want them to go on.

When you place structural columns there is an option to have the column place by depth (go down) or height (go up.) When copy/pasted, the new columns keep that same orientation of down / up. At least from what I've seen.
