    Revit - general question

    Hi everyone
As you can see I am new in your community. Since 3 years I am cad constructor in steel industry. In 2 months I will work for new company that designs concrete structures e.g. bridges. New job will be mainly in Autocad but there is an opportunity to use Revit and obviously I am intetested in that. Revit will be use for sure for reinforcement drawings. I must learn everything on my own and to be honest I am lost. I do not understand how Revit works and what is the correct workflow. I can do simple operations. I am master user of Inventor, but Revit is quite different software. Why I wrote all that things? I wrote it because I have one question for you (I hope easy one) - could you help me to find some genious handbook for Revit that is the best for beginners? In internet there are a lot different content, but I do not know what is worth to read. I come frome Poland so preferable language is EN or PL.

Thanks in advance for your reply.

    Best regards

There are the Mastering Revit books, which are very good, but there is also a lot to be found on Lynda.com for example, where they tell and show you how to do things and you get a free month to begin with

I would recommend you to do a udemy course. They are very cheap and the quality is good.

Good luck and know that you will run into a point where you think @#$$^@ it I'm going to get myself a nice job mowing lawns, but hang in there, it will get a lot better.

I have the mastering Revit series from 2009 and 2011 for Architecture and MEP and I found it very useful but I learned more by doing at the very beginning simple projects like a small house and so on, so I guess is a good combination to practice by your own and real work can be a good start from scratch!, you need only a real first project to test if you've learned well or not!!

RFO is also a very good resource and of course there are a lot of good free tutorials in youtube and in the most part of the blogs made by the guys which are here helping solving others troubles!
