Could i change family parameter to shared parameter?

as the subject i made a family and used it in the project then i want to use one parameter for it in the filter i couldn't, i think i have to change it's type from family to shared so i can see and use it in the filter
the problem now is after changing it in the family editor to shared and load it to the project, it's override all items in the model, i don't want it to change the item in the model & in same time i want to see the parameter after being shared to be able to use it in the filter.

If you dont want to affect the existing parameter you can just add an extra shared parameter and then use New_Shared_Parameter = Existing_Family_Parameter in the family.
So you still change the old parameter to set it but you can use the new parameter to filter or schedule.
