    Lightbulb Concrete beam to column connection

    Hi guys i,m facing a problem her i already make a new concrete column family it has the shape attached in the figure my problem here the connection between the new column and existing beam have a special distance and i can,t find a solution to this problem please help

    Since you are using Revit 2014 there are properties in the beam called end join cutback and start join cutback that can adjust the beam cutting into the column (im guessing u don't want that vertical cut that appears next to the beam) if that does not work try using a reference plane to cut the beam.

    Thanks for your reply Darius i found the solution i have to edit the column family from family category and parameters (material and modal behavior) to concrete not the material only from family types after that the problem resolved and connection be normal

    Hi Mr. Ahmed, i am facing the same problem again, even after changing the material and model behavior to concrete. now the problem is if i am connecting BEAM 1 to column then BEAM 2 automatically taking space from column and while am disconnecting BEAM 1 then BEAM 2 connecting exactly to column.
