    Nested family flexibility

    Hi guys,

can anyone give me an idea about how to change/update sizes for nested family, the nested family already has size control parameters.
is it possible to do that? I have searched online a lot but haven't found anything regarding this yet.

    Thanks in advance!

    "depends"

If it's a shared child the child's parameters need to be instance so you can directly tie them.
Unshared, which are "only" good for building (read: otherwise useless for downstream use) then you can tie instance and type parameters

There's also "just" swapping children within parents using type-selectors, shared and unshared children both work, but offer different levels of flexibility accordingly

Some familiy categories are more restrictive than others for parent/child driving, same goes for the templates used to build them, and bear in mind some of the OOTB instance parameters (like <Mark>) can be tied, but don't behave (when tied) as they should... similarly, be aware some parameters (like <Type Mark>) are only exposed once in project.

so with those fundamentals covered, what is it that you're trying to achieve?

I have figured it out, thanks, snowyweston

you are right, the child's parameters need to be instance and just tie them....

how does this one work, and if child's using type parameter, how to tie the parameter?
