Constraining a sweep extrusion using an angle parameter

I have created an angled bar with an angle parameter. I have managed to get it so that both the bar angle, and the void holes in the bar both move with this parameter. I also have a second sweep extrusion in the shape of a hoop I would like to move along with it, but no matter what I align or try and snap to, it breaks the constraints.

Any ideas? File attached for clarity, it should make clear what the issue I have is if you adjust the angle parameter by 10 degrees or so.

    Thanks

switching the loop to a face-based family will help. I also added a reference line to constrain it's location.

Thanks for the quick response! That's exactly what I need.

For my own understanding, did you have to create a separate face-based family and load it in, or can you just model-in-place a component?

I'll give it a try tomorrow! Cheers

I made a separate family, using the Generic Model-Face Based template and nested it.

    Great, thanks for this!
