    ledger family

Working on a new ledger family, with many types.

When you start with a structural beam family, there is a reference line called stick symbol and member, and beyond that it says right, or left. Anyone know when to use these, and when not?

I created a ledger, and it displays short - not the length drawn in plan; so on one side as a test I aligned it with the left. Perhaps I started with the wrong family? Are these planes useful for a different type of member?

I think this link will help you:

No problem! The real important part to solve your problem is that you must lock your beam object extents to the "Member Left/Right" Ref. Planes, as those control the physical element.

Enclosed is a test model with a few walls.

The ledger family I've made has a few types and now trims properly with symbolic lines, but does not show up in section or elevation.

    Any ideas?
