for the little miniture symbol not that i know of the little shape i would suggest making in a legend so if you have that symbol in multiple places it can be put on different sheets

All those rebars will be shown in a schedule on the drawing, so the shape and dimensions are known. But as an extra (for ourselves and for the people who actually have to make it) we would like to quickly check the shape and meusurement without having to look it up in the schedule.

You could do it as a Generic Annotation with text. Wouldn't directly tie to the rebar but would work. Or you could have tag that has the geometry built but reports those dimensions. You'd have to have a different tag or tag type for each shape.

Note: with a tag you can't have the dimensions DRIVE the symbolic geometry. It would be nice if you could but unfortunately that isn't possible.

Sorry for ther bump, but our office still hasent found a good way to show/fix these miniature rebar-shapes. What we did found is this programm that shows the rebar sghape 1:1 (sofistik)....obviously still not quite what we need. And we found this app from Vietnam: Drag Rebars...that also does look nice. I wondered what all you guys use for this?? Or are we (Belgium) the only ones that use those kinda annotations :P

If you can schedule rebar (codes & ammounts) and get some seperate 3D view from their shapes you can put this on sheets. This seems a logical workflow, isn't this possible Marco?

Drawing the mini sometimes breaks due to Revit's limitation on line length. If you get to that point you could create the items export the images then insert the images into a Generic Annotation with Label Parameters.

If you have some API skill, you can extract the images the Shape Library within Revit to incorporate into schedules, tags etc.

    Good luck.
