Lightbulb Adaptive Model - automatic pick line by change the parameter

I have been modelling a Arc steel bridge recently.
it is a 3 dimension curved arc and I so used the adaptive model and using reference line to create the shape for the model.
Attained please find my Adaptive family, which include only reference lines, adaptive points and Grid with offset.
So I load it to a project and pick the steel member to those reference line.
It is success and do what I want. But there are two following up question about the model.

    1. When I change the parameter (like the offset of grid) the reference line itset will follow the movement and regenerate a curve for me. But when I load into project, the steel member will ignore the change although I pick the length with Lock function.

    2. When I pick two member which is intercross each other, the connection will be automatic set back and I need to adjust the Join Cutback manually, can I turn this function off?

    Thank you

I think that "Lock" option is broken, or at least is not supposed to work as you expect in this case (and as I expected when I needed it). Last year, I was modeling the steel structure of a couple of towers during some months, so I made a skeleton of model lines, with the adaptive template, and repeaters, to find the exact location of each member. Then and I inserted the skeleton family of the tower into a project. Then I created structural members by using the pick lines tool, with that "Lock" option activated. The structural members were located exactly where they were supposed to be. Some of them had to be rotated in its cross section, though, but that is understandable. But, the "lock" option did not do anything. For any change in the structure I had to modify the family, reload, and create the steel members again. It was not a big deal to do it again because it was quick, but it would have been better if the "Lock" option could do just that, lock the steel member to the line that we pick.

    Welcome to the forum.

I would rly like to take a whack at this, but rvt2014 can't open the file and from the pic cant tell enough.

So if you cloud put some more pic's along with the parameters you are looking to have control over, it would be a great help

    Thank you!
In case the model include not that much member, it is reasonable to pick the items always.
But if it changes frequently and contains many memeber, that is a big trouble
