    Parameters pushed in to Family

    I am using external software for design, Masterframe, and then importing using their link. A few issues with that, which I am querying Masterseries about.

    However, I am looking to create a yes/no parameter for end moments, i.e. will a simple connection be sufficient.

    I can do this by referencing the analysis once it has been pushed in to the family. However, I cannot embed the if statement in to the family without pushing the shared parameters created from MS in to all of the families that I need. As this is several dozen, if I have to do this one by one it will take a fair while.

    Can anyone recommend a way in which I may push several parameters in to either one family or several families at once, either natively to Revit or via Dynamo? Or as a last resort free add-in?

    Cheers.

    I have a method to find members and colour them red using Dynamo. However, this does not aid in building information in to the model and aiding automation. I am guessing, with a little more research, I can add a yes/no parameter that I can tick with a similar method, meaning only building 1 further parameter rather than several in to the families, and that will be my next step.

    I'm sure every week or so I will revisit the families and think of further things to implement, are minor family amendments and dynamo a sensible way to go, or would rebuilding the family make sense in the long run?

    Also, if any one has any guidance in regards my current issue, it would be gratefully received.

    Cheers.

    Edit: Incidentally my other method for carrying this out in Revit family itself involves a yes/no param with the following:

    Check if moments on ends of Analysis Beam from MS

    if ( MS_MajorMomMaxEnd1 =NOT (0) , 1 , if ( MS_MajorMomMaxEnd2 = NOT (0) , 1 , if ( MS_MajorMomMinEnd1 = NOT (0) , 1 , if ( MS_MajorMomMinEnd2 = NOT(0) , 1 , if ( MS_MinorMomMaxEnd1 = NOT (0) , 1 , if ( MS_MinorMomMaxEnd2 , 1 , if ( MS_MinorMomMinEnd1 = NOT (0) , 1 , if ( MS_MinorMomMinEnd2 = NOT (0) , 1 , 0 ) ) ) ) ) ) ) )

    Need to push all MS parameters into all families.

    CTC BIM manager suite will push the parameters and the formulas in to ad many families as you want, but it's not free. But it pays itself back in spades.
