    Stairs Parameters

Okay, I've tried searching for this but couldn't find it. (I'm also new to the forum, so please forgive me if there's a thread already posted about this.) When creating the stair schedule, I'm trying to get the linear footage along the stair slope. I've even tried the Pythagorean theorem using the tread depths and riser heights, with no luck. (Answer is off, but not by much.) For my purposes this needs to be an exact measurement. Is there any way to add just a basic height and length parameter to the stairs? Or ay other way of achieving the end result would be appreciated. Thanks,

I think stairs are more of a system family, I am not sure how to edit a system family itself.

I'm just using the length measurement of the stringers, for now. If there's a more precise way to do this, and if anyone knows how to do it, your help will be greatly appreciated!
