Room hatching to show finish types

Is it possible to add hatching to rooms, in plan, to demonstrate the type of floor finish? ....see attached for Kitchen, Bath, Ensuite with tile hatch.
I tried with filled regions but they are not hidden by the components placed in the room...& it looks ugly.
I'm specifically after hatching & not making rooms coloured to suit specific room uses/types.
    TIA....Steve

Make a color scheme that uses surface patterns instead of colors.

Thanks Alfredo. I'm trying to avoid legends etc, & found it easier, & faster, to display hatching (2D) directly to rooms in the Floor Plan....BUT, would love to see examples of how others handle this in a time efficient way.

^^ exactly this. model as separate floors. and offset / join geometry as necessary. set them as interior floors and you can easily filter them out in sections or concrete plans etc.
and PLEASE NEVER USE PAINT unless it's an actual paint finish!

Nah, go ahead paint that 7/8" thick tile. Nobody pays any attention to that ADA law

If i had a dollar for every RFI i got to issue, related to the thickness of finishes, in rooms. Working on one right now, where a room is 9 inches short, in one direction, over non modeled finishes. Sucks for them.
