Post Not snapping when creating beams

Hi guys I am just starting to learn Revit so please bear with me I have a problem creating beams because it does not snap on the columns I have created I check the reference level and placement plane as well as the current floor I am working with and it is all in the 2nd floor. I have attached an image showing how while I am creating beams snapping does not work as well as the structural settings I have at the moment.

Thank you very much for your response.

    Hi!
Not enough information to sort it out. Attach a file, if possible, and a sketch of what should be the result.
