    Twinmotion now free

Twinmotion is now part of UnReal/Epic Games, and it's now a free download until November, free to use after.

Okay, so save 60seconds taking all of 60seconds to get his mitts on it and show off - anyone else had a go?

I've got the plugin installed - but it keeps throwing this at me, Click image for larger version.

The fact that it requires a launcher makes me not care, even if it is free...

    Initial thoughts after 15 minutes...
Never used twin motion before, few hoops to jump through but works ok for me. Default everything though... and it's more mouse clicks, takes longer and lower quality than enscape.
Also, free until November and then what?

This version should stay free indefinitely for those who acquire license prior to November, at least that's what they say.

Personally, I dislike additional fiddling with viz software, preferring to adjust as much as possible in Revit, so Enscape is my weapon of choice in that regards. Out of the box experience in Twinmotion is not as straight forward as in Enscape for me, after half an hour of playing with it.
BUT... Twinmotion has animated assets (grass, water, people...), plus 360 degree animations, and that alone could be worth additional effort, unless Enscape bring something similar. Animated panoramas with standalone VR headset are step closer to real VR feel.

And the fact that you ad the assets in the Twinmotion viewer so they not clogg up your revit model is nice.

Not if the goal is to have it all in the Revit Model.

Work around I found on the epic site is to launch Twinmotion first, then it will work.

    Launch it from where though?

yah, that sucked, but then I'd love to get into Unity, so...

As for observations made - duly noted - I'm also v.much in the #EnscapeLoveIn camp - and one thing is definitely for certain, comparing response times to SRs... TwinMotion's a dead duck. No Twitter response, not even a receipt-return for my email to customer support.

If you're reading Epic, your new acquisition is a long way off.

Twinmotion Desktop Icon or Epics Games Launcher, Twinmotion tab, Launch. thou maybe my install is a little different since I already had Unreal Engine installed before Twinmotion.
