In place family with linked dwg = slow reloading

    Hi!

Trying out a new worklow at our firm. We do some modelling with Rhino/Grasshopper and link to Revit in a model-in-place family. Great for scripting some facade and railing parts for our project.

The dwg contains all solid geometry and i'ts super light (200kb) but reloading the link in Revit takes almost 10 minutes. It's attached if anyone wants to try.

    Anyone has an idea why?

Once the link is reloaded everything is smooth.

I'd be grateful for any advice.

In my experience Revit is not a fan of DWGs. File size aside, linked DWGs will always cause my models to preform slower than files without them.

Using 1 definition of the geometry and use the link it 5 times
would be faster than 5 times amount of geometry. Probably Revit has some trouble with graphics
This railing seems so simple even i can Rev'it ;-)
