    Problem with AssignedPressureDrop property

    Hi,

    I have problem with set AssignedPressureDrop property.
    This property return double value.

    public double AssignedPressureDrop { get; set; }

    My code work only when I set integer value like 10:
    item.MEPModel.ConnectorManager.Lookup(1).AssignedP ressureDrop=10;

    but i can't set double value:
    item.MEPModel.ConnectorManager.Lookup(1).AssignedP ressureDrop=10.123;

    Any ideas how to make it work?

    Hi,
    Some additional details would be useful (piece of commented code, context, family...).
    Have you asked the question on the Revit API forum?
    The API documentation states: "In order to set this property, it must be mapped to a writable instance parameter in the family definition." Does this make sense in your case?

    Thanks for your answer.

    Yes, I posted my question on the Revit API forum but nobody has answered so far.
    I'm in the end of writing script witch will be callculated pressure drop in duct fittings. In this moment I have only problem with set property of connector (AssignedPressureDrop) witch is responsible for storage pressure drop value of the fitting.

    I'm HVAC engineer and I starting with C# programming. I read this sentens before but I dont understand it...
    Please help.

    Correct me if I am wrong but it could mean that the parameter is read only and can only be set through an Associate Parameter:

    My script set "Pressure Drop" (AssignedPressureDrop) parameter by override "Static Pressure Drop".
    This is uncomfortable solution because every time I want to add new fitting to model I must mapped AssignedPressureDrop by new Parameter in this family.
    Better solution is override Pressure Drop directly.

    AssignedPressureDrop property should allow to set field by double type.
    I think that is impossible because API not allow to do that...
