    Unhappy Schedule Text Size *******ISSUE****

We have a template Schedule set up using 5/64" text height for header text, and body text. then we have 3/32" text height set for title text. for some reason every time we create the schedules on a sheet, the totals and blank rows blow up to a huge text size, of which we do not believe we specified.

Is there any way to fix this issue?

    Hi Wolfe

I till this day didn't even know there was such a thing as a Schedule View Template, So thanks for this will save some time in the future!

out of interest if you create a new schedule, set the view template then remove it does the error remove itself?

    Thanks
    James

No, it did not fix the error, the text sizes are fine for the schedule until it hits where it calculates totals at the bottom, then the headers and footers, and any spaces added jump to around 2 or 4 inches, and do not follow the size of the text already set.

Could you detail briefly what the calculations are please?

I typically do very simple calculations in my models for example steel beams by type and then totally steel weight using a calculated value field.

It might be easier if I could emulate the error myself to investigate, possibly with a stripped purged template file of yours.

They are simple pipe length calculations, but regardless, this should not affect the text size of the footers and headers.

I can't quite remember why, but I've noticed that Revit 2017 schedules started in 2016 or earlier do not apply text styles per view template. I modify my schedule title text so I can sort schedules in the browser while avoiding incoherent titles on sheets. Lately, the title text will report a font and size, not the text type applied via view template. Check this by selecting the offending text and hitting the "ribbon > appearance > font" button: does it report the expected text type or something else? Possible workaround: select the text and hit "ribbon > appearance > reset" button. You will lose all previously applied formatting but regain control over the text.

The problem with this is that you cannot click on the header and footers to change the text size manually.

I will just recreate the schedule and go from there, it should work then.

I was hoping my titles definition weirdness issue applied, but I see now that my workaround won't work for you. The view template can set the text type for "header", but Revit also calls the sorting parameters "headers". So the text type assigned to "headers" does not affect the other "headers". Sorry to not help.
