    Question Fatal error messages

This is my first post and its quite an ambiguous question but what actually causes a fatal error message?

We've come across them quite a few times but have never actually got to the bottom of it.... They just seem to sort themselves out funnily enough.

I was wondering whether anyone had actually come across one of these before and figured out what the cause was?

    Thanks!

Probably say the number one culprit is ignoring warning messages.

That's the thing.. Revit is telling you that the way you are modeling something can cause issues, but people ignore them and eventually everything goes south. So the way to sort it is to fix the errors, and train your people not to model in that way to prevent it from happening again in the future.

He's referring to the warnings dialogue, not the warning that you got a fatal error.

I am aware of this but how can I actually review the warnings and take appropriate action if I cannot identify which one is causing the fatal error message?

Hence my question..... What actually causes or triggers this fatal error message?

I'm looking for a more detailed answer, sorry.
