    Question Glazed panel appearance issue...

    Hello,
    I want to change the appearance of one storefront curtain wall( with glass material). At the same time other entities with glass material should change their appearance. I tried o duplicate the glass material (for a single curtain panel) but, it did not worked out well. Please suggest the appropriate solution.

    Hi
    You need to duplicate the system panel and create a new one and then assign a duplicated material.
    Select a glazed panel unpin it and then duplicate it.

    @ vivek,
    I tried the same. but duplicated material takes the assigned values of old(original ) material & hence, any change in the new material gets into the old one.
    Now, I do not know is it a bug or something else.

    You'll need to duplicate the Asset as well as the material in order to have completely distinct materials. You'll notice that under the Appearances Tab of new materials there is a little hand with a number 1, saying that one other material shares that asset. Way over to the right of that screen, you'll see two buttons, Replace this asset, or Duplicate this asset. If you hit Replace, you'll be able to select from a huge list of material assets, if you hit duplicate, you'll get to change the one you're working in without modifying the existing (the little number next to the hand will also disappear)

    @ryntau,
    happy to learn new key point in Revit. Thanx. But, still there is an same issue. I have duplicated the glass material for curtain wall. Now this material is not being used by any other element (theoretically). But when I insert a window with glass material, new window is having new properties as that of curtain wall glass.
