    Hi Alex,

I tried this: Revit > dwf > Adobe Acrobat (not X) > pdf 3D. but IMHO dwf is better than pdf 3d. only Design Review sucks.....

A cool stuff I've tried is sharing model through IFC, then I've used the free viewer DDS cad viewer. but until now, Revit exports to IFC are crappy, works fine with other soft.

Workaround: stop using a file format that started as a word document reader and start using a native format that is meant for object viewing... R > Publish DWF

Using version 9 extended of Adobe Acrobat, you can export your revit model as an IFC then bring it in to the PDF. I wrote an article on this in AUGI World before Adobe killed it the newest version, but I am a fan of DWF and using them over the web by embedding them in Firefox using the Autodesk extension at http://usa.autodesk.com/adsk/servlet...linkID=9338138.

Or you could use Project Freewheel. I have a sample site up showing a 3D model (as well as floor plans and a section) from Revit as a DWF in a website at http://fm.educationalfacilityplanning.com/index.html. Install the Firefox plugin and check it out.

I agree completly. However, everybody and their mom has Acrobat Reader, Only people in the AEC industry has Design Review. As a side note Autodesk could improve the install process of DR as well.

On a similar note, everyone who was someone in AEC had a 2d line program installed as their primary production software at one point in time... >_>

Julien, What version of Acrobat are you using? When I try to do this it give me an unrecoverable error.

If you make a DWFx, anyone with Windows Vista or later can double-click it and it will open in Windows Explorer natively. Don't need to have Design Review to view DWFx files.

this is awesome!!! just tried it and it works perfectly (except the annoying explorer warnings).

(although it might open up the 'too much information' door for clients )
