I think that maybe the dwg has used some xrefs that are imported as separate dwg's?
Huge guess, I really wouldn't know. Haven't heard or seen this before...

What are you doing exactly? Importing a DWG into Revit?

If it is using Xrefs, then open the DWG and bind insert the Xref's. They will then be part of the DWG.
Select the Xref, right click, select bind>insert

Oh sorry. After rereading your original post that's exactly what you said. lol It's Monday.....

Anyway, I guess you could export them to 4 drawings, then copy clip them into one drawing? Sort of a pain, but it gets everything into one DWG.

individual views in Revit export as individual .dwg files in both 2011 and 2012 Revit as far as I can see. You'll need to combine the .dwg files in Acad when you're done I'm afraid

I feel like a dumbass, completely misread the OP.
This is a real stupid and tricky thing (which I wished that the Factory would finally fix): You need to uncheck the "Xref views on sheet" checkbox in the Save As screen (sorry, I don't have Revit on me right now, but it's located in the screen where you select export path and name, bottom of the screen).
This is by default on, which is IMHO actually completely moronic because NOBODY I know wants to Xref the views on an exported sheet. If we wanted the views to be exported seperately, we would probably select those to be exported).

But, uncheck this and you'll be off...

I was kinda thinking this is what he was talking about but I had it backwards.
