I don't think you can remove the skope box. If you do, the view shows the entire model instead of the section you just set up.

As for the view cube, if you go to Options (under the big red R), then the view cube tab, you can uncheck the "show view cube" box. You can also right click on the view cube and select options that way.

Oh, I forgot. Welcome to Revitforums and congrats on your first post.

Thanks for quick reply, I will give those a go and see how I get on, I am currently an architectural technology student so I am sure there will be more questions.

    Thanks again

You can hide the section box by selecting it > right click > hide element. It won't affect the view.

It's also listed under the visibility/graphics overrides, on the Annotation tab, under Section Box.

The compass is the sun path. Bottom left of the view, near the scale, there is a yellow Sun icon. click it > Sun path off.

I think the OP was just referring to the View Cube.

Looks like a 3D box and circular compass to me

That view cube won't show when placed on a final sheet view. So there is no need to worry about it. If you turn it off in the options it will get turned off for every 3D view.

If you hold down the Shift key and use the middle mouse button you can rotate around without needing the cube. Also the Home key on your keyboard with reset the view the the Home setting. Its just a personal preference.
