void for curtain panels does not cut

    Help!!!
How can I create a curtain wall door or window family which will have a void to cut out some offset from neighboring panels? I made a curtain wall door family created ref planes with label for two sides and the top then created a void geometry and attached to ref planes. Now when I load it and apply to my walls it doesn't cut anything. I understand that there should be a sample wall (or panel in my case) in th family editor to be cut but for curtain based families I don't seem to find that. Anybody have done this before?

no answers probably because the original question isn't very clear. A window or door in a wall and a curtain wall door in a curtain wall are two completely different things. A curtain wall door does not need a void to be placed in a curtain wall, just replace a curtain panel with a curtain wall door. If you want a door in a wall, use a regular door, again, no void required. Same with a window. If that doesn't answer your question, please state what your issue is and how you're going about getting to the issue with what Revit content. The OP was obviously (to me) going to way to much trouble to accomplish something that is a snap in Revit.
