    Hey.

Personally I use Vray, considering how new the plugin is it's very good. Here is a link to a house I did recently:

I had to invest some decent coin into my machine to get it to spit out high quality renders in a reasonable time, something to keep in mind.

Enscape is another good option, it still has the hyper-real feel about it but it has quite good lighting (which is everything). I have been down the Lumion path (including 8) and it's not worth the huge cost outlay IMHO. Lighting in Enscape is just as good if not better. All the best with the search.

    Thanks, Nick

Lumion 8 has been out for some days now... Really amazing, and FAST.

This is like a 10 minute job in Lumion, rendering time less than a minute.

Looks good and the rendering time is short!, that's impressive!, personally I prefer V-ray but since is a bit more complicated to use I must let it go and switch to Enscape that is very fast too and can be applied to RV Glasses like HTC Vive I'm curious does Lumion allows this type of interaction?, Regards

This is an image made with Revit 2017.2 and Enscape

    Munkholm & Andres,

Yes Lumion 8 is quite good, but there are a couple of things that I struggle to get past. Firstly the price and the fact every update is an additional cost. Here in Australia Lumion 8 costs over $1000 (Pro Version) more than my Revit design suite subscription, not even close to worth it in my mind. To compare Vray is $1000 & Enscape is around half that for an annual subscription. Secondly is the lighting (out of the box) in lumion still isn't natural enough for me personally. I hate the Hyperreal feel about it, it takes abit of work to create a realistic interior rendering. Lumion 8 is alot better, but still not amazing. I have spent a number of weeks in Vray, Enscape and Lumion 8 and I think Enscape is the clear overall winner IMHO. From what I understand Enscape is power by Unreal Engine, lighting is very nice in it. I have attached 2 renders I did earlier this week, render time was around 10 secs for each image at 4k.

    All the best!
