Unwanted speckles (?) in realistic view

    Hello,

I am new on this forum and haven't browsed a lot but I had a quick look and I haven't found any thread that would match.

I have a problem with weird - i am not even sure what they are - reflections / glitches in my model. What you see in the attached photo is a realistic view, not a render and i have the same problem with maybe 2-3 other views (out of 15). They use the same template so - i might be wrong - but i don't think it's the view template issue.

Does anyone have any idea what is going on and how to fix it?

Just as a note, it also happens on other desktops, not just on my machine.

    Many thanks in advance

    Gosia

Do you have any other models linked in? If so does it do it if you turn them off in that view? Linked in cad files? Same question? Have you tried going category by category to see when they show up?

What he said. It looks like you have two surfaces in the same place.

We do have revit models linked in as well as CAD but they are all turned off.

i turned each of the categories off but it's still there.. It's a reflection issue because it doesn't appear when i turn shadows off.
I just checked all the materials and the only one with reflections on is glass but it is still there even when i make it non-reflective.

Could that be a glitch or is sth modeled incorrectly?

Double check the material on the steel. The OOTB steel material can be funny.

I have and i don't think that's where the issue is.. I attached the current material preset (there's another one called Steel_Beams but its the same preset, just the texture is rotated 90 degrees.
I reduced the glossiness to 0 (as you see it's on 50 now) but nothing has changed

Having had the same I can tell you that that's not same-face visual tearing - that's leaked light spill. Your model must have some gaps somewhere and Revit is struggling to consolidate the containment of light and projection shadows.

Thanks snowyweston! Do you know if there's a quick way of finding what is disconnected? I assume from your comment that it could be a matter of having a gap between a wall and a floor?
