Is it really possible to make such a level of complexity in Revit?

I'm wondering: has this "Revit 2015 logo" picture been made entirely in Revit or there is a considerable probability that the artist has been using other applications as well?

    What's your opinion?

I read recently that this and many other Autodesk software splash screen images were made in Maya.

It might be. But looking at the OP's post count, I will ad that it is intirely possible to do this stuff natively in Revit, even Maya might have been choosen for convenience (Or preference of the designer, given the job to create images across all splash pages of the different ADSK products).

In the past, it would appear that Revit splashscreen was in Revit (proven) Navisworks was in Navisworks (proven), 3dsMax holds competitions to be on the "Hero Image" splashscreen but for all these new images, they look, feel and smell like Maya. Could it be done in Revit? Absolutely, maybe a Vasari or Dynamo spin-off, but certainly possibly in native-Revit.

I'm with Elton, my guess is Maya - animated sweep tool and with modified isoparms.
