    illuminating decals with lumens

    Hi,
I'm inserting decals using .png file images, and I need to illuminate them so they appear as a TV monitor would, but whenever I select the "luminance" setting in the decal edit mode, it doesn't stick. The luminance setting is selectable, but it doesn't stay as set and returns to "Not illuminated. Any suggestions?

I don't mess with decals much. But, even though it turns to "non illuminated", the luminance number still stays. So, I think that's how it works.

Check my attachment. One is set to desk lamp (10000), the other is LCD screen (140). Both now say "non illuminated", but the corresponding luminance stayed. you can clearly see a difference.
