Good luck! Independent of the cost and time to upgrade a project, Revit did not become more stable as a platform until version 2015. I get anxious after every Windows update or OS build. Printing and video display might suffer due to the older version.

I would love to see any real quantifiable documentation that states this is a fact. Ive been working in Revit since version 8.1 (2006) and ive never seen the problem have real "stability issues" other than maxing out hardware, hardware and drivers not being compatible, and isolated features that propagated Crashing, like the broke-ass 2013 Material Editor. Revit on the whole, has gotten more stable EVERY year, and there is data that shows it. But its been largely extremely stable, the entire time ive been using it.

The one exception was when we all had to run with no brakes on the 3GB switch, in 32 bit Windows days. The moment we got 64 bit machines, everything became super stable.

I agree, I think the number of crashes of Revit I had since I started in 2011 I can count on 2 hands and at least half of those were probably because I did something stupid. And the last 1,5 years since I started working for myself I did not have any crash on either 2017, 2018 or 2019

Working as my own boss I can refuse to work on such old projects or at least upgrade them to something sensible.
I just don't have any software older then 2016 if that's not OK, then go find somebody else to work on your ancient project (and even 2016 is a pain in the butt)
Haha! It's a pretty big project. Would be difficult to say no I guess

    It really wouldn't.

"You have a very big important project, but it's not important enough to want to use tools that aren't 7 years old? No thank you. I'm out."

I've turned down work over using 2015, and I HAVE 2015.
