    what is the difference between model in place and mass in place?

    I tried to create parts in model in place and mass in place, it seems no difference, true??

    If the result is assigned to the mass category then no, no difference. If you create an In-Place Family and assign it to a different category then the tools offered are different. The mass category uses the Conceptual Mass Editing tools while all others use the Traditional Family Editor tools.
