    Storage Issue

Hello guys, I have Acer Chromebook 14 which is perfect. I use it as office laptop. The overall feel and look of this laptop is very premium all specs are good, but its built-in 32gb storage is not enough for my work I want to know can I installed one more SSD in it. I don't want to use external storage. My first preferences fixed in it. So Guys is this possible or which SSD is best under $80. Sorry for my bad English.

    Thanks in Advance.

You might be able to open up the chromebook and replace the SSD (and RAM) in there for a larger one. This would of course void your warranty.

There are a few tutorials out there on how to do it (mostly for different chromebooks), for example:

    https://www.androidcentral.com/how-u...mebook#content

Although a fun little project, be sure you know what you are doing or you might break the thing

and of course, Welcome to the forum!

It all depends on what type of SSD is inside of it and what kind of connection. It is probably one of the M.2 connections, but even those have different types. SO, best to open up the chromebook to have a peak inside to see what kind of SSD is in there (and if you can even replace it) and find one online or in your local computer store that will fit.

This one MIGHT do the trick:

Does it have an SD Card Slot? That might be a better option instead of trying to update the hard drive. Chromebooks were created to be maintenance free, but upgrading can be a challenge.
