A thread for fun Project Progress Images =)

Since we were talking about it, the other day... These are from todays upload for our 2017.05.18 3D Coordination Meeting. Working on the Exterior Envelope, at the moment. That, and reconciling some ceilings down in the Basement, still. Was a VERY productive couple of days, though!

The model also has the new Vertical Circulation Content, the new Plumbing Content, Restroom Accessory Content, Door Library (of course), and some other fun pieces in it.

Impressive! Definitely subscribing to this thread.

    Questions:
    1. Is that ceiling grid modeled in the 2nd image?

    2. Which 3D room name program/family do you use? I use the dated Case one but I need a new one.

    1. Yes. Sloped glazing, and I have mullions and panels meant to accurately reflect different ACT systems.

    2. Dynamo node in Rhythm package by John Pierson, with a customized 3D Room Tag we use in house. His node let's you use any component you want as long as it has parameters for the data.

Semantic I know, but ACT and ACP are different systems. The system you have is most likely ACP.

    Per ASTM E 1264
    3.2.1 acoustical panel:
a form of a prefabricated sound absorbing ceiling element used with exposed suspension systems.
    3.2.2 acoustical tile:
a form of a prefabricated sound absorbing ceiling element used with concealed or semi-exposed suspension systems, stapling, or adhesive bonding.

Am I the only one who thinks stuffing accessible toilets furthest from the door wrong?

I'd love to share my stuff like this - but I just can't.

And you've reminded me how much I miss working with volume.

Believe me, ive actually spent more than a full 8 hour day as the mediator between two groups on opposing sides, that felt very strongly about this issue. At the end of the day, it doesnt actually matter, because the letters used in the drawings refer to the specifications, and the specifications dictate what the actual system is.

Basically, i use whatever terms the design teams im working with use, because frankly... I dont give a ****. They called it ACT, so i call it ACT, LOL. =)

I dont disagree, in principle. But, since the Ambulatory and Accessible are the only ones with doors opening out, there is a good case to be made to put them at the far end, so they dont impede other people using the restroom.

The kind that sucks ones soul from every which way each and every day, leaving me hollow and reaching for the hard stuff every evening.
