    Convert DWG to Excel

Yes, I wrote that correctly. DWG TO Excel

What I've got is an Excel file where it looks to me like the Cells are set up on a regular grid (like graph paper) and then several Cells are Merged and colored to create "Rooms"
And they've created an entire Floor Plan using this technique.
Apparently, this firm has a visually impaired person who can use this as an Office map, so it's not as wacky as it seems at first.

Anyway, I'm just wondering if anyone has ever seen anything like this and if there might be a way to automate the "translation"
Here's a clip of what they have done in the past

Do you have Bluebeam? It's far from perfect but you can try printing to PDF and exporting to Excel from BB.

Unless there's a key piece of info. (missing in your OP) as to how said person employs the Excel file it's still pretty "wacky" - in as much - if it's the coloured-plan (when printed) said person uses, then (surely) all you/they need is the .dwg produced in the same way? If the cells represent distances, a pattern/hatch grid of the same spacing could readily be introduced.
