It was a great inaugural Building Content Summit. The committee has already gotten together, and started going over all of the feedback we received (both written and verbal). I personally felt like the event was great, and i liked the structure of it. The second event is already in the works. thanks for everyone that attended, the sponsors and committee that made it happen, and the fabulous people who were willing to come argue about content, LOL.

I can't believe I never made it over to that hotel, even just to pop my head in for a little bit. Sorry to miss you Alfredo, we were just blocks apart. Aaron, thanks a lot for all the work on making the first BCS happen (and to Randall, Parley and the rest of the committee). I heard good things about it all during RTC.

Hopefully next year I will get to attend.... I would have gone this time, but childhood dreams were screaming at me to go somewhere else...

Hey, Steve! Yeah, you should have gone to the "Hackathon"; it was open for all the RTC attendees, not only for the attendees of the BCS. There were several of your Revit friends there, and good food and drinks. It would have been nice to meet there. Same for you, Michael Patrick.

That was a bit of a hitch in the planning (IMO.) There was also an official RTC welcome function going on at the same time and I don't think people knew they could come to the BCS event. Next year they should be at the same hotel from what I've gathered talking to Randall. I think it was at a different venue because it came along after RTC. At least it was only a couple blocks away - although people look at you funny when you are carrying giant poster boards through the streets (4x8 boards don't fit in cabs )

Yeah, came along after we committed to the hotel and room allotment. We tried hard to get it in the same hotel but the prior conference had tied up all the rooms by then. That forced us to put it elsewhere.

There was also a minor hitch of the Hackathon being at the same time as the speaker social. When we had the debriefing, we all recognized that some of those things (which- as Steve mentioned- happened out of logistics of this being the first event) wont happen again. Even with BCS possibly being a 2 day event in the future, i believe the goal is to not to have events that make people choose which to go to. But, planning just started, sooooo......

Exciting stuff. Was great to be a small part of it.

I totally understand what happened and am not trying to be negative about it - the IMO was there because I'm not part of the committee and was guessing a little

All told - I had a great time and can't wait until next year!
