Thumbs up RevitForum.org’s 2015 Fundraising Drive!

It’s that time of year again - RevitForum.org’s 2015 Fundraising Drive!

Revitforum.org is a free and independent Revit forum run entirely by volunteers. They donate their time and knowledge every day to answer questions and help keep you productive. However the website hosting, software and bandwidth for delivering this great Revit resource costs money, and we depend on donations from our members to keep RFO running free of advertising, commercial sponsorship and subscription fees. We depend on you!

Please consider making a donation to keep it that way. We need to raise $3,000 (US dollars) and any amount you can donate is helpful - $10, $20, $50, $100 or more… whatever you can afford. How much is RFO worth to you? There are thousands of members from all over the world contributing invaluable information, answering questions and participating in great discussions 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

Think of how much time you save learning from the experiences of others, from this amazing community generously sharing their answers, tips and advice. How much is that worth to you? Maybe you depend on RFO to help develop and maintain the skills that keep you a valuable resource at your job? How many times has RFO made you look like the Revit guru at work? If you’ve even saved yourself a few hours in the past year through the generous help of others, please consider being generous back by donating to keep RFO going!

Does your whole firm or company benefit from what you and your team learn at RFO? Consider having your firm make a donation… just think, a mere dollar a day, $365 for a year of the best support from the most knowledgeable and talented Revit users on the planet. Seriously! Many of us literally wouldn’t know what to do without RFO. Even $52 a year… just one little dollar a week makes all the difference. You spend thousands on software and support… would you or your office really miss a dollar a week?

We consider RFO the best forum resource on the internet, and we are here to keep it going for many years to come - but we need your help. We want to keep this membership donation drive as short as possible, so please make a donation today!

Look for the Donate bar at the top of each page. Thanks!

    Challenge questions:

Do you remember how many times you have received from this forum exactly the advice you needed to move on with your Revit project or Revit family?

Can you name any cases in particular?

If you can count at least one case, then donate one dollar. But, if you can remember several cases in which this forum has helped you with top quality help, then consider donating a little more.

...And, if you have been helped, now it's your turn to help the forum. Good things have to be preserved.

I have noticed that the Donation Goal bar at the top of the home page has not moved in a while so I am here to remind you all especially all our new members (within the last year) how this works.
We are a self funded forum and we need to raise $3000 every year to keep this site up and running.
RevitForum, without a doubt would have to be one of the best, most informative Revit forums on the net, with some of the most talanted Revit uses worldwide falling over each other to help anyone willing to ask for it.
So if RevitForum has helped you in anyway, has saved you time and money, added to your knowledge, please give a little back so we can keep this knowledge base alive for another year

$5 X 450 Members (a cup of coffee each) Lets get it done.
I will keep bumping this Post till we do.

We just experienced a outage somewhere in the forum. Maybe try again in a few min or in an hour or so.

Let's keep it going! Really, you're not going to miss a few bucks. It takes all of about 30 seconds to donate. It keeps this great resource practically free and advertisement free.

As someone who hangs out in the "Hardware" sub-forum quite a bit, we as a community have helped hundreds of users find the best computer hardware for running Revit and often saved them hundreds if not thousands of dollars doing so. Return the favor and make a donation. Thanks!

I have just made a significant donation on behalf of RUGS - the Revit User Group of Sydney. Hopefully that has pushed things on, getting close to your target. RUGS is the longest operating Revit User Group in the world - it was started by a group of Revit enthusiasts in Australia, led by Wesley Benn (of RTC Events fame). Although RUGS has its own forums, these are now intended for use to discuss local issues, so it does not get much traffic these days. We will direct traffic to RevitForum as it has a much greater reach and likelyhood of resolving problems.
At our monthly RUGS meetings, we charge a nominal entry fee, which is how we have raised the money to make this donation - money that we consider to be well spent (on our members' behalf), in order to keep RevitForum going.

Great job everyone on meeting this years goal! Thank you to all who have donated, and of course thanks to all who have contributed in any way to RFO, whether participating in the forums, donations, the admins/moderators, etc.
