If Autodesk is pursuing this for the "Revit" trademark, why aren't they shutting down AUGI? They use the trademarked "Autodesk" in their name. Wouldn't this set a precedence since AUGI has been around for 2 decades and Autodesk didn't do anything to them? Also the same for RevitCity which has been around since 2003.

Edit: Someone should come up with a hashtag for Twitter so we can tag all tweets with it. Maybe #SaveRevitForum or #SaveRFO

Disappointing news, I hope they just start thinking, they won't win (only loss) anything doing this. It may be a law thing, but this just doesn't make any sense.

First up, what a great response, just noticed so many first time posters (a lot of which have been long time members), awesome support, keep it up get vocal not only here but on every channel you can.

About the $1 Licence, if ADSK were to grant such a Licence they then have us by the balls, again, they own us. Think about it, forced upgades we don't want at an increase in subscription fees.
Who knows what the Lic. could cost next year......
Would you trust ADSK with their hands around your balls ???? (sorry girls but very appropriate description)

Just to clarify again, it is subtle. The lawyers are asking for RevitForum.org to relinquish the RevitForum.org web domain, nothing else... at this point. They are working their way through any web address holder that has Revit or AutoCAD in their domain name. I was told they started with AutoCAD a few years ago and have been working their way through and are now dealing with Revit too. Regarding the previous comment about AUGI, they don't have AutoCAD or Autodesk in their domain address it is AUGI.com and they do have an agreement with Autodesk to use AUGI, fwiw.

I think we can all agree that it is good that Autodesk is legally limited in how much stupid customer harming they can engage in, as they would surely engage in all they are aloud to. And yes, they have a small legal hoof to stand on with domain names. But, much like the clothing and hair styles of the 80's, just because you CAN do a thing, does not mean you SHOULD do a thing. Crossed fingers for one small win for the customer here.
