    Keynote In Ceiling Tag

I'm trying to make a hybrid ceiling tag that automatically reads ceiling height and keynote value. I haven't been able to get the label values of one family type into the other. Is this possible?

Not directly, but there is a workaround. Make a ceiling tag with 2 parameters. One is "Height Offset From Level". The other one is a shared parameter named as "Keynote". Then, in the project, create a project parameter based on that shared parameter, make it a type, text, and apply it to ceilings. Then, in your project, select a ceiling element, and copy its "true" keynote value, (the one under "Identity data") into the "clon" keynote (the one under Text). Then tag the ceiling. Since the "clon" parameter is a "type", not an instance, you only have to copy the keynote value once per each ceiling type in the project.

    See illustration.

hmm, this will bring up coordination issues when changing type. You will need to be very precise in manually updating your parameters to the new keynote.

I appreciate the effort - and that could work for the time being, but ultimately I would've liked everything to be automated. Not a problem if it's not possible as there are workarounds.
