    Keynote Text Wrapping Issues

    Hello,

Im trying to better our company in many ways using REVIT MEP although Im getting a LOT of resistance from other engineers and project managers. They seem to just want to do everything in autocad and link it in. However, one of those ways is using Keynotes for work notes and small "runs" of text like: 2"W UP or 24"X12" SA DN. However when you get to the second one, its kind of long on the page. Ive read that you can "wrap" keynote text so Ive been incorporating our "text" annotation into the keynote files as well. But I CANNOT for the life of me get it to wrap. ive adjust the wrapping of the label and got nothing. Since I couldnt get the wrapping to work, I would make a new keynote for each line of text I needed.

I found a keynote tag that is wrapping, but I am not able to change it as its either too small of a wrap or too big.

Can someone help me out. Here is the family I am using.

    Thanks
    Jason P.

It should just be a matter of inceasing the size of the text box in the family.

does anyone know any way to get keynote text to force wrap not based on the tag length but as an actual enter equivalent? any way at all even the ctrl enter seems to not work for keynote, is there anything in text file format that can do this?

or is there a way to code a symbol into revit that becomes always hidden? example if symbol @ is always hidden, but physically there you can write:

      [email protected] word word

      and have it appear as

      word word
      word
      word

in schedule? any way to do that?

Last year or so I finally found a solution for this but never posted. If you use either Keynote Manager or Easy Keynoter (Revit 2015 only) they have both been created with the ctrl+enter functionality into the Keynote Text edit dialogue and it carries into your Revit tag. I have not seen if this also appears in schedules as well.

Just to confirm Easy Keynoter does have the ability to enter MultiLine keynotes (don't need any ctrl-enter keystorkes), and this does show up in the schedules.

Thanks for the correction Phillip! I should have said "multi-line" functionality.

Keynote Manager works in Revit 2012-2015 but Easy Keynoter only works in 2015.
