Why not create a Legend View? This can contain all sorts of formatted text. Is there "real" use of the Schedule Keys in the project / families, or is it just an easy way to format the text?

the key schedules seems to be the best way we have found to deal with large bodies of text and not have to use 3rd party apps.

If I look at the size of the schedule it kinds of looks similar to mine. Created as a Legend View and containing multiple kinds of formatting (including schedule).
It does take some work to create but works without any complaints.

Yeah I just tested hard returns and using spaces. I can use a word document to format my body of text and copy past it into a txt box in a legend. This will work, I just have to format about 10,000 lines of text now. heavy sigh

The problem I see with the key schedule approach is eventually Autodesk will fix the text editing, and all that work setting up these crazy workarounds will be thrown out. Well that's what I decided back in release 4, and I am still waiting for those text tools!

I have gone the other way, with a combination of detail component families with nested annotation families controlling bodies of text etc. for text blocks. And then tables made the same way with nested components for each cell. That way you can make user editable instance entries along with type driven values which require the user to edit the family. Hard to explain, not sure if that makes sense

I found the best solution is something the user only needs to follow simple steps to edit whatever is required, I guess it started out quite simple and ended up a bit more complex, when those text tools arrive I will still be throwing out some of it!

Why the hell cant they just add in some freaking text tools. FFS!!!!
