i tried searching the site but no joy...i may be asking the impossible here...are you able to change the elevation level that a floor plan view is associated to?

Not quite sure what you are trying to acheive or what you want to move or associate to another level, but maybe have a look at this little app. it will select and show you eveything that is associated with a selected level.
Could be a good place to start, when you really need this app. its worth its weigh, and some.Mark Balsom
