    Spot Elevation in Drafting View

I need a "dumb" spot elevation for a drafting view. I obviously can't use the spot elevation tool. I know I need to create a family, but what category do I use?

I've tried creating an annotation symbol, but it won't let me use it in a drafting view for some reason. Also, the label tool is grayed out.

Can someone help me or care to share a spot elevation symbol they may have??

Generic Anno nested into a detail component. My post yesterday on Generic Annotations should point you in the right direction.

It took me a little while to figure out what you were doing, but it worked like a charm. Thanks.

Hey Alex I think your link is going to the wrong thread. (no wonder Dan's a little confused and he understood it ???)
It should be the one you posted in the Generic Annotation / Wishlist ??
I think Klaus is about to delete that thread (reposted in new format) so maybe repost your family here. (I like it)

hes just trying to make a anno symbol that he can use on drafting views.

Gen Anno nested into a detail component.

Maybe Dan will post what he made.

And have you guys laugh at it?? No Thanks!

Here it is, be gentle. It was really easy, nothing special, and it got the job done.

Just over six years later, this is still exactly what I needed to get back to work and get the drawing out the door. Thanks!
