The Best Post of the Month of February 2011 is:

    1) Post # 85 in "Challenge: Parametric Corner Piece" by Munkholm
(A total of 8 votes, combining votes for #69 and votes for post #85). Since post #69 was the beginning of the clock family and post #85 was the completed version, let's establish post #85 as the winner.

For the second and third place, we have 3 posts with the same number of votes, but one of them is also by Munkholm, so I guess he wouldn't mind if I say that the second and third place (with 5 votes each) are:

    2) Post #15 in "Casework" by Aaron Maller (Twiceroadsfool)
    3) Post # 1 in "More Shortcut Key Magic" by Mark B.

Congratulations to the winners, and thank you all for your participation. After this, the results are posted in the Tutorials forum, and also in our Revitforum's blog.

See you all again on April 1st.

I can't believe a clock beat out an entire forum category on Revit family sharing. What is this forum coming to?

Seriously though, congrats Munkholm. Well deserved.

Ah, but Revit Family Sharing is a bag o hurt and everyone knows it. But a clock that makes you go "Hmmm...", well, it makes you go Hmmm...! And then you know something interesting you didn't know before. And that's pretty cool.

We all appreciate the importance of the new "Shared content... " subforum. However, that is a forum, and not actually a post. And, anyway, in this case, it got the same number of votes than the other 2 options, so I had to make a verdict. Maybe in the future, if more people get motivated to participate and vote, the differences between votes will not be so tight. We have more than 600 members, let's see if in the next months we see an increase in the participation.

Perhaps some users don't realize yet the benefits of nominating and voting, but in reality this activity is a benefit for the users. If you look at the Tutorials Forum, you will see that we are posting the full list of nominated posts, month by month, all with their links; not only the winners or the first ten, but all of the nominees. Some days ago, I needed to find an illustration that was included in one post; I did not remember the title's thread but I remembered seeing the post among the nominees of January. So I just went to the tutorials forum, and that post was there for me to find it quickly.

Sorry, couldn't vote, or make a nominee. I was on a Mandatory Forum Leave... But, I like the outcome because it's pretty much consistent with what my favourites were anyway.
                    Will do next time...
