Yep, when deselected, it shows -2. I just created a different type from scratch and it fixed it. There's something wrong with the OOTB monolithic sketched stairs I think.

I've seen some wacky numbers, especially when editing a stair that I've already placed. Like Number of Stairs double the actual quantity. Seeing this on several occasions, I just ignore the screen value for risers & rely on type properties to maintain correct riser height (although most of our standard residential is gonna be between 13 - 15, depending on floor-to-floor, so it's not hard to figure out). There's some bugs in the "new" stair construction for sure...

    started a topic Monolithic Stairs

    Monolithic Stairs

I have to create a stair run of 2 risers. Since the boundary of the risers isn't square (one side is against an angled wall, the other a curved wall) I have to sketch it in.

When I do this, the default monolithic stair shows -1 for actual number of rises when I start. All of the other stairs, including the monolithic stair by component, shows 1. What this is doing is making me add an extra riser to get rid of the error. But then, the stairs are too high, and obviously the plan representation is wrong.

Why does it have -1 risers to start??
