    Rotate Sun's North

In ACA, I could rotate the sun's north to align with true north. This wouldn't affect my project at all.

How do I do that in Revit? I've looked at rotating true north and it says the view must be oriented to true north. So, I created a view and oriented it to true north, then rotated it. It seems to have just affected that view (it's the only one oriented to true north) and also rotated the sun throughout the entire project, which is what I want.

Is this the correct way to do it?

    Trythis
Manage tab / Additional Setteings / Sun Settings / switch to "lighting" then that window is where you set you default sun (lighting) position.

I saw that too. I'll try it.

I was mistaken when I said it rotated the sun correctly. It did on the view, buy my camera view was still wrong and that's what I render from.

In order for the sun to be placed correctly for rendering you need to set these settings to "Still" and select a place, date and time according to the projects actual placing. The settings highlighted by mark b will give you a "standard" sun setting relative to the view you're in, with absolutely no reference to the real world.
