Thats exactly what it was doing to me too...was always setting the cut view to "Show All"...glad I'm not alone! -

Plan in Phase: New Construction, Phase Filter: None >> Section is Phase: New Construction, Phase Filter: Show All.
Plan in Phase: New Construction, Phase Filter: Show Previous + New >> Section is Phase: New Construction, Phase Filter: Show All.
Welp, I guess the sections don't hold the Phase Filter in RST. Hmmm.Leave a comment:

Leanne, you told us about the Phase for both of those, and the phase will always take from what it is being cut in...what I am having issues with is it taking the Phase Filter with as well....can you take a look at how it treats your Phase Filters when you cut?Leave a comment:

UPH! Not so fast. I'm using RST2011 and just tested.
When plan is in Phase: Existing, I cut a section. That section is in Phase: Existing.
When plan is in Phase: New Construction, I cut another section. That second sections shows Phase: New Construction.

using RA 2011. and it's a true section. but I'm pretty sure it does it for any view created from another view, callouts, sections, elevations...Leave a comment:
