    Enlarged Plan Piping

I am trying to hide the piping for an enlarged plan from showing on the regular floor plan. For instance i have a restroom enlarged plan located on p-401 and i want all the associated piping to be hidden on p-101 so all you see is the enlarged plan indicator.

How would i be able to hide pipe, is there a wipeout type tool or a setting somewhere or something?

    Thanks

How about selecting the an element, then right click and select all instances visible in view, finally hide element in the modify>view panel?

Why not simply turn off the category in the V/G Overrides?

I was thinking about his as well but I wasn't sure if the piping is in a different category than plumbing fixtures (don't use revit MEP yet) therefore the suggestion to do it that way because then there would be the issue of hiding toilets, vanities, tubs, etc.
otherwise this is the best option

The problem is i only want the stuff inside the callout to be hidden. So if i shut off all instances of say cold water piping it will shut it all off and i only want the portion inside of a room to shutoff. Ive figured out i can use a region mask to a certaint extent but that leaves a box which i dont want so unless the room has nothing inside of it i cant use that (it wipes out everything inside including walls and fixtures).

Can you post a screenshot, I think this would help clarify the issue.

Hi Pektas, and welcome to the forum.

I guess you could do it with two views placed on top of each other at the sheet ?

Basicly just create a copy of the callout, turn of the piping, and place the copy of the callout on top of the regular (large scale) view on the sheet.

What would be perfect is if Revit MEP would let you control the visibility/graphics of model elements separately within the callout boundary, while on the main view, similar to how a plan region works.

You could also throw in a plan region in the are you do not wish to see your piping. Set the plan region so that the bottom is far enough above the piping and it should disappear from the view. Likewise if you do not wish plumbing fixtures to show either.

Plan regions don't work well in MEP.
Hiding in view is a constant update.
You can't turn off filters specific to 1 area.
Placing a Generic view over the top on the sheet is probably your best option.
What I do is leave the enlarged area the way it is and I place a filled region (ansi45 light pattern) over the top to distract from the contents.
