    rendering grass

is there anyway of getting the grass to look somewhat more realistic than the current images in revit?

And crank up the rendering settings a LOT.
This is doable, but will give you a looooooooooooooong coffee break. Trust me, I tried.

can you show us a picture with some nice revit grass? I do not imagine how nice can be the result in revit.

Playing around with your bump map can help too.

It's too bad that you can't assign noise & multiple bumps to textures  - that would help immensely. If you have 3DSMax you can drop everything in to it and render there.

You can also create grass objects and populate your landscape with them depending on your camera angles. The following was done with SU in mind but the same principles apply:

Ah, ok in other softwares it`s easy. In revit is interesting to see the best grass achieved.

Here is some in rendered in 3DMax/mentalray(attached).
Or in the test about rendering benchmark http://www.revitforum.org/hardware-i...benchmark.html
(where almost nobody has been interested )

Luckily my buildings are usually bigger then that and zooming this much isn't really giving a nice overview...

Realistic grass in Revit is impossible, but "somewhat more realistic" is doable... The attached is not the best example, but should still give you an idea of what settings to mess with, to get better results.
