    Walls with no phase?

I have a couple walls in my legend phase that are showing up that shouldn't be. If I click on the wall to check / change the phase it lists the created phase as None. Obviously the wall as created at some point in imaginary phasing time so it should have a phase. FWIW - they don't show up in plots so it isn't a huge issue but I'd like to figure it out.

is it because one of your phases is renamed to None? i don't think you can remove all phases, hope i'm wrong, perhaps you can check Phases menu to see all your phases.

That's what I was thinking. I think someone created a phase called None. There's not a None OOTB.

The phase selection option is greyed out - can't even select it to change the phase. Phases in the project are all normal & correct.

weird, is that wall from linked model? in that case, maybe that linked model having one of the phases renamed to None, also check phase mapping.

Seems like a database error to me. Get your file to autodesk, see if you can delete the walls, and be sure to keep regular backups (and check those if they are still accessible). Depending on the stage you're in in your project I would consider copying out all none-broken geometry to a new file too.
Usually when Revit starts doing these kind of things a "this file is corrupt and needs to be manually recovered" is waiting to happen.

btw: when you link and bind the file into a blank project, do these walls transfer too?

How do I go about getting it to Autodesk?

CD's are supposed to go out Friday :hide:

The only thing I can think of is that it is part of a stacked wall but there are a bunch in the project and it's just those few that are a problem.

eh, just put out the CD set. You still have a month or so of foundation work before they need to worry about the walls. :hide:

You could just cut and paste the walls back to the same position. This will effectivly delete and recreate the walls. It will aslo "re-register" them to the database. they will probably pick up the phased created parameter as they come back into the database.

I was sort of thinking that the "easy" solutions of cutting and pasting didn't work. But it's a good start before going all drastic.
