for some reason my areas will not print in color

Yes,..my area plan shows yellow on my sheet and my print settings are set to raster processing, vector didn't work either. the appearance is set to color as well.Bettisworth NorthComment

I suspect that you have put "color" in your areas with the Interior Fill from VG. Instead go to Home -> Legend (Under Room and Area) then you will have true colors that print on your sheets
